A richly illustrated edition is devoted to an exhibition of the same name held in the Russian museum and timed to the tercentenary of St Petersburg. This project, for the first time, introduces works of Russian artists who belong to different generations and have different views, but all are a part of the French culture. The catalogue includes articles which cover everything these Russian emigrants did or do in Paris: fine arts, photography, cinematography, theatre and music. There are colour reproductions of pieces of art, short biographies of the artists, exhibition lists, and also a CD with recordings of Russian songs and romances performed by well-known Russian actors-emigrants of the beginning of the XXth century.
