The publication accompanied the exhibition organized by the Russian Museum in collaboration with the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation (North West Bank). The book contains an article on the history of origin and existence of paper money in Russia, a short historical reference to the history of the Savings Bank, an annotated catalogue arranged in chronological order and album of illustrations. The publication is supplemented with biographies of persons actively contributed to the development of Russian paper standard and a list of literature.
