The illustrated catalogue is divided into two parts: official art (1960) and unofficial art (1960-85). It gives a clear idea on movements, styles and individualities of artists. The publication is supplemented with chronicle of the main events of artistic life in the 1960s-80s; photographs from the Central State Archive of Film and Photo Documents, the Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, artists´ private collections and archives and brief biographies of artists.
