The publication includes the introductory article and the album. The article is dedicated to the independent photographers emerged in the Soviet Union in the 1950s and their photographs not corresponded with the Soviet ideology that they were not allowed to show or publish in the 1950s.
The album presents the photographs by 14 photographers of the Leningradsky Photo Underground of the 1960s and 1980s such as G. Prihodko, G.-B. Kudryakova, P.-B. Smelkov, V. Okulov, V. T. M. Samarin, O. Korsunova, L. Bogdanov, S. Mihailov, S. Falin, A. Shishkov, N. Matrenina, L. Zvyagin, S. Podgorkov, E. Antonenko.
The short article is dedicated to each photographer and his or her creative oeuvre and supplemented with the list of solo and group exhibitions. The publication is supported by A. Gutnitsky.
