Japanese Beauty

This is the first-ever publication in Russia addressing the oeuvre of twelve contemporary Japanese artists. In the artists' works principles of Western topical art are reconsidered under the influence of ukiyo-e ("pictures from the floating world"), a unique technique of traditional Japanese drawings and engravings. The book includes articles by Japanese and Russian art historians, biographies of artists and reproductions of their works.
