The publication based on the materials of Boris Grigoriev exhibition, which took place in the Cultural Institute of Providencia (Santiago, Chile), acquaints the reader with the significant, yet little-known to the Russian viewer, works created by the famous artist during his stay in Chile in 1928-1929 and 1936-1937. The album of illustrations, which presents painting and graphic works by Boris Grigoriev from the museums and private collections worldwide, is preceded with four research articles that describe
various aspects of his creative biography, particularly, the place and importance of the artistic discoveries made by the master in forming and developing new tendencies in Chilean art in the 20th century. The publication also includes materials published in the Chilean press: an interview with the artist and other articles dedicated to his solo exhibitions that took place in Chile in various years. The book is supplemented with documental photographs and a detailed chronicle of life and work of Boris Grigoriev.
