The publication is timed to the exhibition of St. Petersburg's artists, members of the famous artistic family of the Traugots. The album of illustrations, which consists of three monographic sections and acquaints the reader with works by Georgy Traugot, his wife Vera Yanova and their sons Alexander and Valery Traugot, is preceded with four articles that discuss the content of multifaceted oeuvre of the remarkable masters who develop further the plastic discoveries made in fine art of the early 20th century, as well as their place and role in the artistic life of Leningrad. The article by Alexander Traugot features personal and creative life of the older members of the Traugot family in the 1930s, during the Siege and in the first post-war decade and is supported with unique archival and memoir materials. The publication is supplemented with biographical information, a list of major exhibitions and publications related to the artists, as well as with brief biographies of cultural figures referred to in the text section of the publication.
