An exhibition of works from the collection of the Russian Museum devoted to traditional holidays in Russia has opened at the Museum of Norilsk. 

Christianity and paganism, rural and urban culture, the spiritual and corporeal, the Russian and foreign were combined in the Russian holidays for many centuries. The exhibition gives the viewer an opportunity to trace the evolution of the theme of holiday from the beginning of the 18th century when the state and folk holidays, as well as their rites, customs, and traditions, appeared in the creative oeuvre of the Russian artists for the first time.

The exhibition features works by 27 artists, including Ilya Repin, Boris Kustodiev, Konstantin Yuon, Ivan Pelevin, Kiriak Kostandin, Alexander Morozov, and many others.

Taming the Chaos, a solo exhibition of the work of Igor Tcholaria, numbers some 60 paintings, graphic artworks and sculptures. Igor Tcholaria was born in Abkhazia, which stretches along the coast of the Black Sea. He received his basic grounding in art at the Sukhumi Art School, and subsequently continued his education in Leningrad, at the Vera Mukhina School and the Academy of Arts.
