August 23, exhibition “Isaac Levitan” will open at the Kaluga Regional Art Museum. The exhibition presents 28 painting and graphic works, including 25 works by Isaac Levitan from the collection of the Russian Museum, 2 works from the collection of the V. D. Polenov State Memorial History, Art and Natural Museum Reserve, and one work from the collection of the Serpukhov History and Art Museum.
Exhibition dedicated to I. I. Levitan, displayed in Kaluga for the first time, provides insight into the early period of the artist’s work, his travels to Crimea and Italy, and plein air achievements of the artist’s mature period. A separate section of the exhibition is devoted to graphic works by Isaac Levitan.
The exhibition will be on display until November 12, 2017.
