The exhibition presents the oeuvre of the prominent Russian artist, one of the founders of the Moscow conceptualism, in aspect of the dialogue of this master with the Russian avant-garde. The exposition emphasizes the interconnection of Dmitry Prigov with the "Black Square" as the focus of Kazimir Malevich's searches in the sphere of conceptualism and its core terms ("Emptiness", "Nothing" and other) and also on the re-comprehension of the oeuvre of other artists of the early XXth century. The special section of the exhibition will bring together the works from the "Drawings on Reproductions" cycle, where the names of the avant-garde artists are juxtaposed to the classic works by masters of the Russian landscape painting of the XIXth century. The exhibition comprises around 200 works from the Prigov Foundation and collection of the State Russian museum and the State Hermitage.

The State Russian Museum presents the exhibition project Parallel Universes. From Abstraction to Artefact showing works by 36 artists of the second half of the 20th century from the collection of Natalia Opaleva, a well-known collector, founder and general director of the AZ Museum (Anatoly Zverev). The exhibition introduces visitors of the Marble Palace to more than 200 paintings and graphic works by underground masters of the 1960s–1980s: Anatoly Zverev, Dmitri Plavinsky, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, Oleg Tselkov, Lidia Masterkova and Ernst Neizvestny.
