THE RUSSIAN MOMENT. A WEEK OF PHOTOGRAPHY IN ST.PETERSBURG

RIA-NOVOSTI in collaboration with Committee for Culture of Saint-Petersburg, the State Hermitage, the State Russian Museum, the Anna Ahmatova Museum at the Fountain House presents the Week of Photography in St. Petersburg   

The best photo-novellas about Russia and different sides of its everyday life are brought together in the RUSSIAN PRESENT art project and will be presented in St. Petersburg since 2 September till 8 September 2013. This project is devoted to the G20 Leaders' Summit scheduled for September 5-6, which official photo-hosting is RIA-NOVOSTI. The viewers will see the works of well-known photographers of the countries - the members off G 20. The RUSSIAN PRESENT photo-exhibition is on show in Marble Palace till 10 September. Another, open-air version of this project will be presented in Alexandrovsky Garden where since        2 September till 8 September 2013. At 5 September 2013 during the Night of Photograph RIA-NOVOSTI invites to the evening 3-D mapping-show where will be presented the photographs that were made during the expedition.

The State Russian Museum presents the exhibition project Parallel Universes. From Abstraction to Artefact showing works by 36 artists of the second half of the 20th century from the collection of Natalia Opaleva, a well-known collector, founder and general director of the AZ Museum (Anatoly Zverev). The exhibition introduces visitors of the Marble Palace to more than 200 paintings and graphic works by underground masters of the 1960s–1980s: Anatoly Zverev, Dmitri Plavinsky, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, Oleg Tselkov, Lidia Masterkova and Ernst Neizvestny.
