For the first time the Russian Museum presents the one-man exhibition of Saint Petersburg artist Victor Danilov, member of the Ozerki Art Society. The exhibition of his paintings, sculpture and graphic works presents different periods of the artist's oeuvre from his earliest works to the works which he made recently, in 2007. The artist's works reflect the world of his images which balance at the interface of the reality and fantasy and interlace fantastically animated and inanimate, the present time and historical reminiscences. The exhibition contains the artworks from the Russian Museum Collection, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall Collection, the artist's studio and Saint Petersburg and Moscow private collections. It's accompanied with a catalogue in Russian and English.

For the Glory of Russia. Entrepreneurs and Patrons in Russia in the 18th – Early 20th Centuries

Merchants, the “third estate”, at that time, were the basis of Russia’s economic power. The Stroganovs, the Demidovs and other entrepreneurs sometimes established entire “empires” with their own settlements, roads and internal regulations. The richest merchants became nobles and patrons of the arts. The exhibition is unique, both in the themes it explores and in the works it presents.

Olga Rozanova (1886–1918): An Art Revolutionary

16 May—2 September 2024

Olga Rozanova's retrospective exhibition at the Russian Museum comprises art works from different collections. It will feature about 50 paintings and more than 100 graphic works illustrating all periods of her artistic career.
