At the exhibition there are presented for the first time in Russia the works by the well-known Canadian animal painter, naturalist and active greener Robert Bateman. The exhibition is organized by the Russian Museum, Ludwig museum in the Russian Museum and by the Foundation for International Art and Education (Bethesda, USA). About 50 animal paintings show the wide knowledges of Bateman, his deep understanding of nature and respectful relation to the beauty and diversity of the life on the Earth.
Specially for the exhibition the painter created three paintings. The brown bear as the symbol of Russia is depicted on one of these works.
