Venice Carnaval: an opening of the exhibition

4 march 2016—4 march 2016

The bright and mystical feast of the Venice carnival, attracting the public every February is one of the most loved and thrilling subjects for the photographers. Capturing the subtle and eternally elusive image of Venice and expressing the festive and playful atmosphere of the carnival and its very spirit is a difficult but captivating challenge for the masters of photography.

The Russian Museum present the most vivid images of the feast taken by the prominent Russian photographers such as Mikhail Shemyakin, Alexander Tiagny-Riadno, Vladimir Balabnev and others. The exhibition comprise around 100 photographs.
