The solo exhibition of the Moscow photograph Oleg Kaplin, accomplishing the Winners of the First Museum Photobiennale series, presents about 70 photos. Many of them are devoted to the images of the Orthodox Russia. The exposition includes the works revealing the beauty and the deep meaning of the divine service, the photo portraits of the religious persons: priests, monks, parish man, old-believing man, keeping fidelity to the traditions of ancestors. Kaplin commemorated the images of beggars, blessed and cripples – the men, supported by the Orthodoxy faith, giving them the strength to live.

Count Pavel Sergeevich Stroganov (1823-1911), traveling with his family in Italy in 1839-1841, captured the image of this country in numerous drawings, which were considered the works of an unknown master until recently. At the exhibition in the halls of the palace that belonged to the Stroganovs, the Russian Museum will show 60 wonderful drawings from its collection for the first time and comment in a multimedia show how their research was carried out, which made it possible to prove the authorship of Count Pavel Stroganov.

The exhibition is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Vladimir Sergeevich Vasilkovsky (1921-2002), an outstanding figure of St. Petersburg culture. He left an impressive mark in the urban environment: modern St. Petersburg cannot be imagined without the buildings and bridges designed by Vasilkovsky. One of the facets of the master's work will be shown in the exhibition - his graphics and ceramics.
