The first publication in Russia acquaints with the oeuvre of the artist, poet and writer Sergei Sharshun, well known in the West, but practically unknown in Russia.

The publication includes articles by foreign art critics on the artist´s creative quests, the album of illustrations, chronicle, bibliography and the list of exhibitions.

The album section contains the most typical artworks of 1916-45 from the Barcelona, Ornamental Cubism, Purism, Dadaistic Landscapes. Elastic Landscapes. Decorative Impressionism, Compositions, Violin Series, Marine Cycle, Tribute to Music. Ellipses and Pyramids, Venice and the Musical Compositions series. Most of the reproduced artworks are accompanied with Sergei Sharshun´s comments and those of the researchers of his oeuvre. The publication is supplemented with the archive photographs. Most of the materials have been published for the first time.
