Vyacheslav Mikhailov is a modern Petersburg artist, recognized both in Russia and abroad, who continues and redefines in his works the traditions of painting of the Old masters by plastic means of non-figurative art. The publication comprises articles by Petersburg art-critics who analyze the philosophic content of the master’s oeuvre, and the huge album that acquaints with the series of paintings united by the theme of the Northern Russia and with the less known side of his art such as graphic works created in different years.
