The publication is dedicated to the famous Russian artist Dmitry Zhilinsky who develops further aesthetic ideals of Old Russian art. The voluminous album of illustrations that includes painting and graphic works created by the artist in various years is preceded with four articles. One of the articles addresses the image resources of the sculptural treatment of some of the artist's works in the context of the aesthetic programme chosen by the artist, while the other three acquaint the reader with the way the master's students and colleagues perceive his works. The publication contains documentary photographs related to the work and life of Dmitry Zhilinsky, as well as his detailed biography and a list of exhibitions.
