Editor-in-chief: E. Petrova; Article: R. Venckus
Palace Editions, St Petersburg, 2012
132 pages; 93 coloured illustrations and 19 photographs
Format: 24х22 cm; Russian, English
For the first time this publication acquaints the Russian viewer with the creative oeuvre of the modern Lithuanian artists Sharunas Sauka, his wife Nomeda Saukiene and his son Mikolas Sauka. In works by these artists the reflections on mysterious and frighten sides of a human being are embodied by the expressive means of innovatory European art. This publication comprises four articles by Lithuanian art-critic. The first article analyses the philosophic, ethical and artistic problems in works by members of the Sauka family. The other three ones precede the sections of the album that present the oeuvre of each of the authors. The publication is supplemented with the artists’ biographies.

The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, Vilnius City Municipality, K-operator International Cultural Programme Centre; Gloria Moments; VŠĮ "Artkomas".
