This book is dedicated to the existence of drawing in the system of contemporary art using, as an example, works by artists who are representatives of non-conformism of the Soviet era and by young artists who address key problems in contemporary social and spiritual life. The album of illustrations is preceded by three scholarly articles that discuss different aspects of contemporary drawing in light of its past history, key objectives, and the content and artistic decisions of individual works. The above is supplemented by biographies of the artists represented in the publication.
