The concert of jazz music and soviet melodies will take place in the Big dance hall of the Stroganov Palace where the original F.B. Rastrelli’s decoration is preserved. The compositions will be played by Valery Petrov Ensemble, famous St.Petersburg jazz collective .Conceived to revive the tradition of chamber recitals, a project of the Russian Museum named "Musical Thursdays in the Stroganov Palace" exists since 2015 and has yet become popular among citizens of Saint-Petersburg. The repertoire is various and isn't limited to classical music: within the walls of the ancient house which belonged to count Stroganov it is possible to hear now the traditional jazz, swing melodies, and Argentina tango.
Ticket price - 500 rubles.
