Concert "Poetry of virtuoso basses" will take place in the Big dance hall of the Stroganov Palace where the original F.B. Rastrelli’s decoration is preserved. Sonatas for cello and bass will be performed by the soloists of the Baroque Chapel "The Golden Age".
Conceived to revive the tradition of chamber recitals, a project of the Russian Museum named "Musical Thursdays in the Stroganov Palace" exists since 2015 and has yet become popular among citizens of Saint-Petersburg. The repertoire is various and isn't limited to classical music: within the walls of the ancient house which belonged to count Stroganov it is possible to hear now the traditional jazz, swing melodies, and Argentina tango.
