Vivat, the Summer Garden!

The Summer Garden is one of the favorite places of St. Petersburg and it constantly attracts many citizens and tourists. It was founded during the reign of Peter I and is a part of the complex of objects of the Russian Museum. This year in honor of its anniversary the festival "The Summer Garden — 315" will be held from 14 to 16 June 2019. It will acquaint citizens and visitors with the history of the oldest garden of St. Petersburg. The uniqueness of the holiday is a recreation of the atmosphere of different eras of existence of the most famous garden in Russia, its integral connection with the city history and the country as a whole.

Guests of the festival will see theatrical sketches, excerpts from performances, historical reconstructions of dances and boardwalks. The alleys of the garden will be filled with sounds of live music of the XYIII-XXI centuries performed by famous orchestras and musicians, as well as young artists. Every day of the festival from 12 to 21 hours visitors will enjoy a marathon of cultural events.

According to the old tradition, wind orchestras are going to delight the public during these three days. Hits of the Soviet epoch in a modern arrangement will make the audience to plunge into the recent past. Every evening from 20.00 to 21.00 in the Summer Garden you can listen to jazz orchestras .

On the main Avenue of the Summer Garden will be exhibited an interesting exhibition based on the unique archival documents provided by the relevant committees and archives of St. Petersburg. Along with this in honor of its anniversary the Summer Garden will be decorated with interesting elegant floral and landscape compositions made of thousands of flowers.

During the holiday, guests are also waiting for contests, surprises, dance workshops and carving, original Souvenirs and much more. The program of the holiday can be found on the website Letniysad315.ru

Opening hours:

On June 14, the Summer Garden is open from 13:00 to 22:00.

On June 15 and 16 from 10:00 to 22:00.

Tickets will be available for purchase from 14th to 16th of June at the ticket offices of the Summer Garden and from 1st to 16th of June at all ticket offices of the palaces of the Russian Museum and on the website www.rusmuseum.ru
