Animated Castle quest

16 november 2015—16 november 2015

11, 13 and 16 of November 2015 Animated Castle quest for pupils, students of Construction College and students of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping took place in the Mikhailovsky Castle.

The game was prepared by the staff of the Russian Museum with the support of the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with NGOs of Saint-Petersburg. Participants of quest went on an exciting journey through the permanent exhibition of the Mikhailovsky Castle with special itinerary. The Mikhailovsky Castle was built in 1797-1801 years by architects Vincenzo Brenna and Vasiliy Bazhenov as the official residence of Paul I. The castle was one of the most expressive characters of Pavlovian era (overall design and planning of the first sketches of the building belonged to the Emperor himself). And at the same time it is place of tragic death of Pavel Petrovich in the night of 11 to 12 of March 1801, who became the victim of a conspiracy.
