Mordovian republican Fine Arts Museum in Saransk presents the exhibition dedicated to the world-famous carnival in Venice. The bright and mystical feast, attracting the public every February is one of the most loved and thrilling subjects for the photographers.The exhibition prepared by the Russian Museum (first held in the St Michael's Castle from 3 March to 30 May) presents the most vivid images of the feast taken by the prominent Russian photographers such as Mikhail Shemyakin, Alexander Tiagny-Riadno, Vladimir Balabnev, Elena Yarovaya, Stas Namin, Joseph Kiblitsky. The exhibition comprises around 100 photographs.

“The Collective of Masters of Analytical Art. The School of Filonov” existed from the summer of 1925 until the master’s death in December 1941. The school’s work was based on the idea of teamwork.

More than one hundred sheets of original illustrations and covers for children’s books presented at the exhibition form only a small part of the comprehensive collection of book graphics of the Russian Museum.
